Hello and I am OMG-Girl8 and live in California. I've been dating my widower boyfriend for almost 3 years now and have joined this site in hopes to get support and confirmation regarding my situation with him as it has been a difficult journey thus far! Thanks to everyone in advance for responding to my post and will try to be a supportive as possible as we are all in this together! Hugs!

Dating a widower can have it's own special intricacies :-) How are things going for you at the moment?

Four years ago, as a lonely, divorced single mother of two young children, I had no idea that deciding to go on a date with a single father of his own two young children would change my life and turn into one of the best the relationships of my life, with someone who I completely fell in love with - like in the fairy tales – heart, body and soul. I genuinely do not think any man has loved me the way he does - fully and completely - and many of his actions in the last few years has confirmed this.

At the same time, it has been more emotionally challenging than I ever could have predicted...

Sorry I somehow missed your post.
Relationships are often not as easygoing as we would like them to. I fell in love too, 17 yrs ago. We both have children from previous marriages and had all kinds of situations.
I also had issues with my husband’s ex and that was quite an unexpected shock.
Dealing with the ex’s is often not easy, but dealing with wives who have dies might sometimes be even more difficult.

If you could explain a bit more about your situation it would help me give you my perspective or experience.
